Yi Zhang is a master student majoring in cognitive neuroscience at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC).

 

She focuses on pain neuroimaging and acupoint electrical neuromodulation research. Her study adopts resting-state and task functional MRI to reveal the neural mechanisms of primary dysmenorrhea and pain empathy. Her research mainly investigates the mesocorticolimbic reward circuit and pain processing, exploring whether TEAS modulates brain activity and functional connectivity to alleviate menstrual pain and related comorbid symptoms.
